Kamal Hassan trying to pull a SRK Ra.One

Kamal Hassan is ensuring that his next ambitious project 'Viswaroopam' technically looks as good as his other movies and hence has roped in Hollywood Stunt Director Lee Whittaker to do the stunts for the film.

A series of stunts were shot in Mumbai with Kamal and the other actor Rahul Bose in Mumbai.

Whittaker was a stunt double earlier having worked in films like 'Jurrasic Park', 'Bowfinger', 'Batman and Robin' before going on to be the stunt co-ordinator in many important TV Series back home in the USA.

Hassan in the meantime along with Bose, had trained for a week under Whittaker ensuring that the stunts were clean and done well before embarking on doing the stunts themselves. A lot of shots were not even rigged and have been done without rigs by Kamal as well as Bose.

This is Rahul Bose’s first major commercial film and the actor who has played Rugby at the highest level for India will be seen roughing it up with Hassan in the film.

'Viswaroopam' is Kamal Haasan’s most expensive film till date and is being viewed as the 'Ra.One' of the south film industry due to his indulgent nature in filmmaking.

Kamal who plays a dancer in the film has trained under Birju Maharaj. Kamal also plays the role of an Afghan Mujahideen in the film. The film has already been shot in Jordan, Mumbai and Chennai and will be shot soon in the US and the UK as well.

The estimated budget of the film is expected to touch Dh87.6 million. The film is currently being shot simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi ('Viswaroopam' in Tamil and Telugu and 'Vishwaroop' in Hindi).

The film has music by Shankar Ehsaan and Loy who have composed the songs in Hindi as well as Tamil.

The film was earlier being directed by Selvaraghavan and Kamal did a Shantanu Shorey on him by replacing him in the film with himself. Long ago, Kamal had sacked Shorey from 'Chachi 420' after being unhappy with his work. Selvaraghavan too was unceremoniously packed off from 'Viswaroopam'.

'Viswaroopam' also stars Andrea Jermiah, Pooja Kumar and Zarina Wahab with Shekhar Kapur putting in a guest appearance.
