Kanye proposes, Kim Kardashian shows off her 15 carat diamond ring

Kim Kardashian is engaged to boyfriend Kanye West.

The rapper proposed to his 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' girlfriend in front of their friends and family at AT&T Park stadium in San Francisco.

According to E! News the 36-year-old star rented out the stadium for the occasion.

Rapper proposed with 50 piece orchestra and fireworks at San Francisco's AT&T baseball park. The 33-year-old gushed to E! on Tuesday that she is 'the luckiest girl in the world,' in her first statement since her 36-year-old beau popped the questioned.

After Kim said yes, Kanye slipped a 15 carat diamond ring onto her finger and fireworks exploded in the sky as the rest of her family ran out of the dugouts.

The brunette beauty told E! News: "Last night was truly magical!!! I am the luckiest girl in the world!"

She added: "I get to marry my best friend!"

The 'New Slaves' rapper, 36, asked Kim's mother, Kris Jenner, for her permission to propose before renting the baseball field out for $35,000 and hiring a 50-member orchestra for $50,000, who performed his hit 'Knock You Down' and Lana Del Ray's 'Young & Beautiful,' before fireworks lit up the sky and the words "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!" flashed up on the scoreboard.

Kanye secretly flew all of Kim's family and best friends to the venue, who ran out to wish them well and celebrate at an instant engagement party as soon as she said yes.

He also booked San Francisco's top caterer for the event and helped to design her engagement ring with Lorraine Schwartz.

A spokesperson for the jewellery designer said: "Kanye was involved in every single way. He had a vision from the beginning. He looked at a lot of stones and he wanted only the best. He wanted the diamond to look like it was floating on air. Everything was his idea from beginning to end."

The source explained: "On the Friday when Kanye performs in Las Vegas, Kim has a birthday celebration planned at Tao nightclub.

"Now it's beginning to look like it could also be an engagement party. Other members of the Kardashian clan are scheduled to be there so it will be a family occasion."

Another insider revealed that the 36-year-old star, who has a four-month-old daughter, North West, with Kim, rented out the picturesque stadium, that overlooks the iconic Bay Bridge, for $35,000 and paid each member of 50-piece orchestra, who played Lana Del Rey's 'Young and Beautiful' and Kanye's chart-topping hit 'Knock You Down', more than four times what they usually receive for a private gig.

A member of the orchestra told gossip website TMZ.com that members were paid up to $1,000 each for the short performance and were forced to sign non-disclosure agreements after being hired by a "very hands on" Kanye just two days beforehand.
