Kareena Kapoor caught smoking and drinking

Kareena Kapoor is showing her bold side, smoking and drinking and not even trying to hide it.

But the gorgeous leading lady hasn’t picked up the vices for real – it’s just something she does for the reel.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has released a still from his upcoming movie 'Heroine' on a social networking site where Kareena is seen puffing and holding a drink.

Bhandarkar tweeted, "My Heroine Kareena - Bold, Edgy, Uncensored... Like never before!"

Bollywood heroines no longer shy away from showing their bold nature whether it's drinking alcohol and smoking in the movies.

Recently Katrina Kaif danced as a bar girl in 'Agneepath' and also portrayed a character who was addicted to the alcohol and cigarette in 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan'.

In 'The Dirty Picture' Vidya Balan showed how far she can push her limits when she portrayed the bold character of Silk. She smoked and drank onscreen without a care.

Kareena had earlier acted as a prostitute in 'Chameli' but never smoked onscreen.

'Heroine' revolves around the life of a once successful film actress, Mahi Arora. The film also features actors Arjun Rampal, Randeep Hooda, Rakesh Bapat, Shahana Goswami, Divya Dutta, Helen, Shillpi Sharma and Lillete Dubey. 'Heroine' is scheduled to release on 14 September 2012.
