After a series of images that displayed their culinary intimacy surfaced on twitter, newly-hitched Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor-Khan have gone awol. At least on the relationship front.

With the annual celebration of romance just around the corner, one wonders whether Saifeena will broadcast their mushiness, just to safeguard their reputation as the ‘new’ love-struck married couple.

But, if media reports are anything to go by, the two will not even be celebrating their first post-marriage Valentines’ Day together.

Kareena will be away filming for Prakash Jha’s political thriller ‘Satyagraha’.

“I will be shooting in Bhopal on the Valentine's Day. This year my Valentine's Day will be with Amitji, Ajay Devgn and Prakash Jha. So it's not that bad,” Kareena told the Indian media.

She, however, didn’t hide any signs of disappointment and told the media about how she expected Saif to shower her with lavish gifts.

“This year Saif will have to gift me something. I think I have given him the biggest gift in October last year. I have transformed myself into a begum (princess),” she added.

Although the two have been busy with their individual work commitments, Saifeena has stayed away from broadcasting their love, cuddles and kisses.

In fact, they even cut short their honeymoon travels because Kareena had to start her work on Prakash Jha’s film.

The two have since been indulging in their work. Whether it is incessant movie promotions or magazine cover shoots, the couple is busy doing their own thing.

There’s more talk about Kareena’s new style guide book, her sizzling cover shoot for Vogue magazine, and her new fitness regime for a new movie, and less about her new role as the royal bride.

Even, Saif’s playing it safe.

They have massively slashed on their joint appearances. Even their first outing post their much celebrated, two-city wedding, saw a lone Kareena facing the shutterbugs.

Interestingly, the two lovers were a treat for the media photographers during their five-year-long courtship, but soon after they said their “I dos”, they’ve maintained a safe distance from each other.

No photoshoots or interviews of “life post marriage”, or even brand endorsements.

The last we heard Kareena was busy singing every brand that was coming her way, in a bid to ensure she doesn’t lose out to the younger B-town beauties. Apparently she wants to stay at the top of the “brand wagon”.

Her movie schedules are also packed with Punit Malhotra’s Gori Tere Pyaar Mein and Prakash Jha’s Satyagraha, and a Karan Johar film with Imran Khan.

Saif’s just finished ‘Race2’ and he’s working on ‘Go Goa Gone’, ‘Bullet Raja’ and ‘Judwaa2’.

After failing to create magic on the big screen with ‘Tashan’, ‘Kurbaan’ and ‘Agent Vinod’, Saif even went on record to state that he isn’t comfortable in pairing with his wife, claiming their chemistry off-screen was ruining the on-screen chemistry.

Would this be signs of cracks in their marital bliss?

Well, there’s no clear verdict on that, but the current indicators aren’t entirely promising.
