Kareena Kapoor: highest paid Bollywood actress

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor recently emerged Bollywood's 'Most Profitable Actress' at the Business Awards.

With domestic box office collections of Dh149.5 million+ movies under her belt, Kareena emerged the unquestionable money spinner female actor.

If reports are anything to go by, the actress was paid close to Dh 5.9m for Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Heroine', the highest that has ever been paid to any leading lady in the history of Bollywood.

Standing tall amidst an industry ruled by the leading men, Kareena Kapoor who was recently immortalized in wax at the prestigious Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, is the first actress to join the much coveted  Dh74.7m club. Having starred in 4 films that have grossed over Dh74.7m  at the domestic box office in less than 2 years, a feat no other Bollywood star has achieved so far, Kareena Kapoor has established herself a force to reckon with.

The actress in a near 2 year period has delivered four of the top ten grossing films of all time- '3 Idiots' which earned Dh127.1m locally, 'Golmaal 3' mopping up Dh80.7m , followed by the 105.4mgrossing 'Bobyguard', and the VFX magnum opus 'RA.One'. The actress then went on to put up a note worthy performance in 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu'.

Apart from achieving historic box office success and being the only actress to have worked with all of the industry's top notch actors, Kareena Kapoor is also the leading actress in the brand space as per official TAM reports, with the highest number of brands in her kitty in comparison to her contemporaries.
 
Today, actors earn more than 50% of their annual income from brand endorsements, shows and star appearances. Kareena comes right after the three Khans (Aamir, Salman and Shah Rukh) in the list of endorsements.
