Kareena Kapoor's recent item numbers “Halkat Jawani” and “Fevicol se” are heating up the charts and with the new year round the corner, private party organisers are desperate to make the new royal bride of Pataudi dance at their events.

However, Kareena has made a personal decision not to perform at private parties even though event organisers and hotels are ready to pay her anywhere between Rs6 crore and Rs8 crore for her performances.

After all, she has to think of the family that she has recently married into. The Pataudis garner tremendous respect and a royal daughter-in-law cannot be seen performing for guests at private parties. Films and filmi functions are ok. Even Sharmila Tagore, Kareena's mom-in-law continued acting after her marriage to Tiger Pataudi, Saif's father. But dancing or gyrating to item numbers in hotels and restaurants are a strict no-no.

The actress recently told an Indian daily: “My family is looked at with immense respect and I will never do anything to embarrass them. I can’t even think of dancing at weddings, especially from now on. Being a youth icon, I do not want to set a wrong example. This is a decision made by me and I will stick to it.”

Interestingly, Kareena and her elder sister Karisma Kapoor are the first Kapoor girls who joined the Indian film industry. Previously, Kapoor family girls were not allowed to work in films. Shashi Kapoor's daughter Sanjana is another exception, but then she hardly did any significant number of films.\
