Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar released the first poster of Kareena Kapoor's much-awaited film 'Heroine' on twitter.

The poster has the protagonist Kareena in her glamorous best.

Kareena is dressed in a shimmery tank top and shorts lying down on a bed surrounded by magazines and photos of herself and an empty glass.

"Presenting the 1st poster of Heroine to all my well wishers. Hope you like it," Bhandarkar tweeted.

The anticipation for Madhur Bhandarkar’s film is slowly building. While the first look of the poster was unveiled, the trailer will be out on July 25.
 
“Thank u all for your patience & support. I can finally confirm that the poster of Heroine will be out on 23rd & trailer on 25th of July,” tweeted the director.

The film received an 'A' certificate from the Censor Board.

Bhandarkar says he had expected the same and tweeted: "As expected got a "A" certificate from the censor board. Countdown begins for the launch of the poster and promo of Heroine."

It was reported that the makers of “Heroine” have decided to launch three different trailers for the different markets they cater to.

The film also stars Arjun Rampal and is expected to hit the theatres on September 14.
