Kareena to do an item number for Salman?

Actor-filmmaker Arbaaz Khan says Kareena Kapoor has shown keen interest in doing a song in his upcoming film, 'Dabangg 2'.

Arbaaz his making his bedut as a director in this movie.

In 'Dabangg', Malaika Arora Khan gyrated to 'Munni Badnam Hui' which became a superhit item number in recent times.

"We do have a song in 'Dabangg 2' but it is too premature to talk about it. We would like to call it a popular song rather than an item song. Once we have recorded the song then we can take a decision accordingly about it," said Arbaaz.

"I am in conversation with Kareena about the song. She too is keen on doing it. We would be happy if she would do the song," he said.

"Principally we have agreed but nothing is on paper. We need to work out things like availability and all," he added.

'Dabangg 2', a sequel to 2010 action flick 'Dabangg', stars Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead.

The shooting for 'Dabangg 2' is underway and it is expected to release by the end of the year.

Hindustan Times reports, "We have completed one schedule and will begin another tomorrow. We expect to release it by the end of the year," Arbaaz said.
