Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge and her more famous sister Pippa, have been on spotlight and looks like they are there to stay. Everything they do or touch turns gold.

In the latest they have set off a shopping frenzy much to the delight of the cosmetic line Lancome.

Recently news leaked online that Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge and Pippa were the first to road-test Lancome's new Visionnaire serum, reports news.com.au.

The British women wasted no time and stormed the shops to get their hands on the product. There is an unprecedented month-long waiting list for a product touted as "better than Botox and cosmetic surgery at correcting facial imperfections".

Fans even paid upfront for the product which costs $115 to guarantee they get it when it's back in stock.

Rretailers in Australia are bracing themselves for a similar onslaught when the product officially launches here on September 18.

Local retailers say people have already begun to put down their names and ordering the serum.

The hype around the cosmetic is so much that Lancome decided to set up sampling stations, in Sydney's David Jones and Myer's CBD stores.

Dermatologists gave a thumps up to Visionnaire's promised benefits and claims it to be absolutely safe.

Visionnaire claims to have used "a new generation of multi-tasking molecules" and a secret ingredient, LR24 12.

The Middleton sisters were sent the serum, so was actor Emma Watson who is an ambassador for the French beauty brand.
