EARLIER: The 'Tees Maar Khan' juggernaut will stop in the UAE this week as it gathers momentum in the run up to the film's December 23 release.

After visiting newspaper houses in Delhi and dancing on Mumbai's beaches, lead actors Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif are headed to Grand Cineplex in Dubai this week, were they will be joined by director Farah Khan behind the box-office to sell advance tickets for their film, according to distributors.

Speaking to media in India ahead of the film Katrina said her character was nowhere near as bold as had been portrayed in the "item" song "Sheila Ki Jawani".

"If you see the recent promos, then you'll see that my character is much more than Sheila," she said. Katrina credited the film's director for dreaming up the sizzling dance sequence, which has been compared, variously, to Malaika Arora in "Munni badnaam hui" and to the Lebanese-Colombian songstress Shakira.

"The credit goes to Farah for having given me steps that would suit me. It was a challenge for me. This was my second song with Farah post-"Just chill". Her assistant, Geeta, taught me the steps as it was not possible for Farah to be with me during the practice sessions. I was literally shaking thinking whether or not I'd be able to meet her expectations. But when she saw me doing the steps, she simply praised me," Katrina said in Mumbai.

As for Kumar, he could only say Farah has been a hard taskmistress. "Farah is very bossy. Lots of men are scared of her. As far as pressure is concerned, it is not on me but on her." Kumar plays a conman entrusted with his biggest job yet -- to steal Rs5 billion in antiques from a moving train.

The box-office on Tuesday opens at 7pm.
