Looks like Katrina Kaif's bikini drama will not be easily put to rest.

It can be - if only she and her camp stop talking about it.

Recently, the 29-year-old actress in an interview to Indian film critic Rajeev Masand spoke about the incident.

"If you're an actor, your life is open to the public and if you have problem with that, then this is the wrong profession. I understand that theory."

"My point of view is that if I'm in an unguarded, private moment, is this really required?

"As an actor, I am prepared for an interview, for press conference, to meet the media on the red carpet or at a movie set. I just wish, well, in an ideal world, that I was left alone in my downtime. That was my private space.

"Having said that, this was my request. You may not agree as paparazzi, but I put on my opinion," she said.

It all started a couple of months ago when Katrina was photographed on a beach in Ibiza in a bikini.

The paparazzi got the pictures; the Indian media went to town. Well, the bikini alone was not so much the issue probably.

The issue was being photographed in a bikini with her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, whom she has been hiding for long.

Two weeks after the leaked pictures came out, Katrina returned to India from the holiday, by then the voices had subsided.

But Kat wrote a scathing letter to the media complaining about "invasion of privacy". Thus, opening a can of worms. The privacy that she wanted to guard was once again discussed at length, debated and contradicted.

The bikini pictures she was referring to were published again. So writing that letter for privacy did not help the cause.

Then when Bollywood celebrities reacted on the same topic, Katrina's camp should have learnt from one mistake and kept quiet. But no, they went after the celebrity who didn't support Katrina.

Thus the bikini pictures were again printed.

And now in this interview with Rajeev Masand she is trying to put forward her views on the episode thus prompting media to write about it and splash the photographs again.

Repeat offender!

The pictures caused quite uproar the first time and bringing it up again and again will only keep the gossip alive.

Is this what Katrina wants? Is this her way of protecting her privacy?

If not then the actress and her camp should put the stale bikini episode to rest. And yes also Ranbir.
