Katrina side-effect? 'Besharam' Ranbir Kapoor avoids Salman

Most actors and production houses are more than willing to promote their films on the platform of 'Bigg Boss' with star host Salman Khan (Shah Rukh Khan can come under special category).

The only ones who have refrained are the ones who do not get along with the host. With Shah Rukh Khan another name joins the list - Ranbir Kapoor.

The 'Besharm' team has been on a whirlwind tour across the globe promoting their movie. The Kapoor family - including Ranbir, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor have been attending almost every reality and game show on Indian Television.

Slated to be released today (October 2), Ranbir has skipped 'Bigg Boss 7'.

One of the highly watched reality shows on television is what the makers of Besharam wanted to cash on, but their film’s hero doesn’t want to share the stage with the most wanted Khan.

What exactly stopped the actor from promoting his movie on the show? Was girlfriend Katrina Kaif's past relationship with Salman an issue?

Apparently Ranbir is aware about Salman’s antics on the show and how he gets his star guests red faced on his show.

Guess, this is why RK wants to stay away from this stage. After all he might not be sure if Salman will show his hell or heaven side to the 'Besharam' actor.

While it’s natural to speculate that Ranbir would not want to face Salman especially after the leak bikini pictures with Katrina, we thinks there’s more to what meets the eye.

Another issue that might have cropped up is director Abhinav Kashyap's equation with the host

Abhinav directed Salman in 'Dabangg' and the two had major differences in work front. So much so, that the director was not repeated in the sequel of the film.

Even while promoting 'Besharam' Abhinav cannot stop comparing Khan and Kapoor. In an interview he said Salman never rehearses and often forgets his lines.

In comparison, he praised Ranbir saying he is the most hardworking actor he has seen. Ranbir rehearses meticulously, sometimes days in advance.

Even though Ranbir did not visit Bigg Boss, the episode with Anil Kapoor was a treat for audience.

Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor were supposed to be seen together on eviction weekend, but Ranbir’s loss turned out to be Anil Kapoor’s gain.

The camaraderie between the two good friends was evident during the weekend edition as Anil Kapoor came to promote his upcoming show '24' on the same channel.

The fun was unlimited and their impromptu act had audiences rolling with laughter.

The episode started off with a dashing entry by the Robin Hood Pandey- Salman Khan on the song 'pandey ji seeti'.

Followed by Anil Kapoor's entry on his signature song 'My name is Lakkhan'. They also danced together on their song 'Ishq di gali wich No entry'.

The weekend with Salman and Anil was already high on the dose of entertainment, and it came as surprise when Salman carried Anil on his shoulders. But when Anil Kapoor tried to carry Salman on his shoulder, he was unable to carry Salman, and it left Salman and the audience in splits.

No one really missed Ranbir Kapoor in the show, but was it Ranbir's loss, only time will tell.
