Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif who's singing for 'Dhoom 3', will now also be singing a romantic song for Shah Rukh Khan.
The actress will be lending her voice for a romantic number in Yash Chopra's directorial comeback, also starring Anushka Sharma, reports 'Mumbai Mirror'.
The song has been penned by Gulzar and composed by AR Rahman.
Katrina joins the bandwagon of other actors who have sung their own songs for their movies.
Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Piyush Mishra, Raghuvir Yadav, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Riteish Deshmukh, Ali Zafar, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sonal Chauhan and Priyanka Chopra have all got offers to sing in flicks.
A few of them have already sung for their movies a number of times.
Katrina's friend told the tabloid: "No half-measures for Katrina these days. She had earlier decided to sing for Yash Raj's 'Dhoom 3' with about a week of rehearsals thrown in.
"But now, she has grown more ambitious and wants to try out a more complex singing challenge the other film directed by Yash Chopra has thrown at her."
"Earlier, Kat had a persistent offer from Ali Zafar to sing with him for his private album. He was keen but she begged off. Then came the chance to sing in 'Dhoom 3', which she liked.
"But now, the prospect of singing a dreamy romantic song for a Yash Raj film, written by Gulzar and composed by A R Rahman has caught her fancy," Kat's friend was quoted by the tabloid.
Katrina’s keen interest to sing in her movies comes at a time when rival Priyanka Chopra is about to launch her debut solo album and debut in playback singing.
Priyanka Chopra efforts for an international album are gaining popularity. Priyanka will also be heard singing in Apoorva Lakhia's 'Zanjeer'.
