Kim Kardashian has just landed herself in some extra-spicy controversy.

Kim Kardashian has told her family that she thinks Indian food is “disgusting”. The 31-year-old socialite said this on Sunday night’s episode of 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians".

Some took offense at the food criticism by Kardashian.

She is already under attack for her speedy marriage and divorce from basketball player Kris Humphries as well as her relentless self-promotion and lavish lifestyle.

Over the weekend, she told her nearly 1.5 million Twitter followers about shopping at the upscale department store Harrods during a jaunt to London.

The reality star’s offhanded remark drew criticism throughout the Twittersphere.

“I think it’s good Kim Kardashian doesn’t like Indian food, because that means she won’t ever visit India and that in itself is a blessing,” tweeted @krishna_shah.

“Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner called Indian food ‘so disgusting.’ Seriously? You don’t have to like it, but don’t be rude,” said another twitterati..

On Tuesday, she took to her blog to address the backlash in a post headlined “Just Want to Clear Something Up.”

“In NO way was my comment intended as an insult to the Indian people or their culture. This is just my own personal taste,” she wrote.

“There are a lot of foods I don’t like . . . I hate cilantro and peppers, and there are definitely some Armenian foods that I personally find disgusting, but that doesn’t reflect my opinions on other Armenian people or my culture.

“My comment wasn’t intended to offend anybody. We all have our own opinions and tastes and I was simply expressing mine,” she added.

I'm east indian, I love indian food, but I'm not gonna stop eating it because Kim Kardashian says it's disgusting. And if other people don't like it either then, I respect their personal choice. She did express her hate for it in kinda a disrespectful way, but whatever, don't feed the fame monster.

disgusting is a taboo word..you can just say you don't like because bla bla bla..how can you say a food disgusting..respect the food and do you know how many people out they are craving for food.you don't like Indian food then don't even mention abt it.who are you to say it's disgusting.the ingredient in indian food keeps out many disease ..if you don't like spice then just don't say anything..

I think its a personal choice. Moreover Indian food OUTSIDE India tastes really bad coz they don't use the proper recipes or spices. Its just not as authentic as it should be. FYI American's make disgusting Chinese food too! lol

I don't get why people are lashing others. There are millions of people that think that Indian food is disgusting, it is simply a matter of taste as she said. Why people take it personally, we are humans and there are some things that we like and others that we don't. I hate different types of cuisines and that is my right to express what I like and what I don't. It is not in any way an offence nor an insult to a country and its culture! So just let's keep calm.

Kim's statements shows only her bad upbringing and her cheap background. Although some of the responses here are worse. "No harm done"? "respect pepoel's opinions"? Wow! how about respecting the feelings of a nation? People may not like some food, but it's disgusting to call any food edible disgusting. And a million variety of Indian cusine, it'll take one's life time to taste it all.

Kim Kardashian is a foolish woman since I have known her history, she is calling Indian food disgusting, her blood line is Indian which is running from Indian food just because she has fame and tries to be in limelight will never change her blood line.
