There's a storm coming - are you ready for it?

Dubai is seeing a wave of excitement - screaming, choked-up fans, vying for the attention of the one and only - Lagy Gaga.

Gaga flew in yesterday (Sep 8), a day before the UAE experiences Gaga’s most-awaited 'ArtRave: The Artpop Ball Tour'.

The songstress was warmly welcomed at the Dubai international airport with a bouquet of flowers, cheering fans, as she gears up for her debut concert in the Middle East.

The organisers expect ‘thousands of last minute concert-goers’ to fill the venue and make it a sold-out show at Meydan Racecourse on September 10.

The 28-year-old was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and dedication of her fans in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a huge smile splashed across her face as she soaked up their love and adoration at the airport.

"My fans were so sweet at the airport I was so choked up! I have been dreaming of coming to the Middle East and finally #dreamscometrue," she wrote on her social media page.

The excitement among her fans is quite palpable.

Emirates24|7 speaks to few die-hard fans of the Queen of Pop and one 'Little Monster' (moniker for her fans) describes the wait as torturous as another can’t contain her ‘Poker Face’ expressing her joy that Gaga’s finally headed to this region.

Yvette R , 37, Filipina says, “I couldn’t believe that she’s finally coming here, I’m going with my sister and we’re both huge fans, she’s so talented and inspiring and such an amazing performer, I’m going to post all my pictures on Facebook and Instagram.”

“This concert will be IT for me, it’s been a torture waiting for Wednesday,” says Ahmed AD, 22, Emirati, "I’ve waited a very very long time so see her but I only have a few more days to go and its driving me mad till I get to watch her perform! There probably isn’t a bigger fan than me I’m sure of it.”

UAE nationals who are headed to the ‘Fame Monster’s glittering event this Wednesday echo the excitement.

Maryam AK, 30, Emirati says, “We have the golden circle tickets so we’re going to be close to our idol, and I’m planning to dance and take pictures all night and post them on Instagram all at the same time.”

“She is the Queen, end of story," explained Osama AF, Emirati, “I love everything about her, her music, her style, her personality, just everything about her is perfect.”

The pop diva dressed in a stunning sheer gold gown that was covered in gorgeous sequin and jewelled embellishments made a royal landing.

The long-sleeved number featured a cape-like style that opened up to great effect when she raised her arms.

It also featured a small cut-out detail on the chest, while the delicate fabric exposed her skimpy nude bodysuit underneath that protected her modesty.

She wore her long platinum tresses in a sleek style that tumbled down around her shoulders, while a showstopping blue and turquoise jewelled crown sat atop her head.

The powerhouse vocalist’s baroque stage creations have often hit the headlines and her show at Meydan will prove no less extravagant as expected by her fans.

But Gaga will show her respect to the culture and this show will be appropriate for all the fans here in Dubai.

'I hope during this trip I can show my true self, with a message of acceptance, tolerance, a respect for individuals of all cultures.'

She took to Twitter and wrote: "Lady Dubai in my absolutely exquisite hotel. What a privilege to be here. They have been so gracious and kind to me. #DubaiMonster4Life".

Gaga shared a number of photos on social media prior to making her way to her hotel and then lapped up the hospitality of Dubai.

On stage giant inflatable mushrooms, dancers with neon triceratops hoodies, and LED-neon hair extensions are expected.

Her costume changes, confetti snowstorms, disco-themed props, a theatrical and zesty affair of this magnitude may be tough for others to follow, but for this pop diva it’s just second nature.

Gaga said it herself - she was ‘Born this Way’.
