Lady Gaga's debut of artRave: The Artpop Ball Tour in Dubai at Meydan Racecourse was nothing short of artistry, drama, madness of fans gyrating to the tunes of her chartbusters.

Scheduled to take the centre-stage at 9, the pop diva finally made an appearance at 10:30 to a roaring welcome from her fans in the Middle East.

Straight to the keys, Mother Monster greets her Little Monsters with "artPop" and says, "Marhaba Dubai - my name is Lady Gaga".

Stylised with LED-neon hair extensions and all "covered up" the "Applause" never stopped as Gaga belted out "G.U.Y", "Just Dance", "Poker Face" and "Bad Romance".

Her concert was all about connecting with the people, as she sang her heart out she went on to express her love for the region.

"They used to tell me I was crazy, I would never come to the Middle East. They were wrong, they were the judgmental ones."

Peace, Love, Tolerance and Equality was the message the pop diva wanted to spread and it translated as she spoke again and again. Telling her fans how much she wanted to come and begged everyone for the opportunity to perform in the region.

No stripping on stage, no vomiting, no pole dance and no sausage play - Gaga was sticking to her plan of "no nudity".

She reiterated her pledge to respect and honour the culture of Middle East and restrained her show.

Her "Venus" performance in a shell dress, "Bad Romance" in a neon coloured body suit is as risqué as it could get in Dubai - nothing beyond that. So haters can wait for another day.

Struggling to speak in Arabic she apologised and giggled and boy the crowd loves her effort.

The powerhouse vocalist addressed the crowd and her Arab fans promising never to ignore them, "We are all different but I see you, I will not ignore you, I will not pretend like you don't exist," - that's how she won their heart.

The extravagant stage, her eccentric wigs, peculiar wardrobe, troupe of dancers was all a mélange of celebrating life and spreading the message of acceptance - decoding "Born This Way".

Last night (Sep 10) Dubai Monsters had the party of a lifetime and one little monster got lucky when Gaga threw her wig to the crowd.

A little under two hours, the show ended with "Shukran... I love you," - Lady Gaga take a bow.
