Maanyata, kids hold prayer service on Sanjay Dutt's request

Like every year, this year too Sanjay Dutt's wife Maanyata Dutt held the annual prayer service (Mata Ki Chowki) at her residence in Mumbai.

But this time it was kept as a low key affair, as Sanjay Dutt could not be a part of it.

Sanjay Dutt is serving his jail terms after being convicted for his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blast and illegal possession of arms.

He was missed by everyone who attended the service.

We hear that the actor wrote a letter to Maanayata and insisted that like every year this year too she should host the prayer service and seek God's blessings despite his absence and to carry on the traditions.

Those seen at this spiritual gathering were Vidya Balan, Sophie Chaudhary, Krishika Lulla, Bunty Wali, Krishika Lulla, along with Sanjay and Maanyata's children Shahraan and Iqra.
