Masterchef India 4: Abu Dhabi based Nikita Gandhi wins title

Cooking reality show 'Masterchef India 4' has a new winner - 21-year-old Nikita Gandhi from Abu Dhabi.

In last night's (April 12) grand finale Nikita bagged the golden chef coat and Rs10 million (Dh588,000) as prize money.

Based in UAE, Nikita was born in Ahmedabad and emerged as the favourite among the viewers.

Nikita now plans to open her own restaurant in Abu Dhabi and explore her love for vegetarian food.

A consistent performer throughout the season, Nikita thanked the judges for their encouragement and providing her the platform to portray her skill.

The final battle of culinary was among the top 3 contestants Nikita Gandhi, Neha Shah and Bhakti Arora.

The show which was judged by celebrity chefs Sanjeev Kapoor, Ranveer Brar and Vikas Khanna ran for 11 weeks and 67 episodes.

Ex-MTV Roadies judge Raghu Ram hosted the grand finale.

The show featured live performances by Gurmeet Chaudhary and Debina Bonnerjee, and 'MasterChef India 3' winner Ripudaman Handa along with his partner Shivangi.

The top 3 contestants stepped out of their comfort zones and showed them how good they are when it comes to staging a dance performance.

The judges too put on their dancing shoes, turned singers, all in all complete entertainers.

Bollywood actors Kangana Ranaut and R. Madhavan, co-stars of 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns', took part in a pani-puri making competition on the show.

'MasterChef India 4' also launched the next dance reality show 'Nach Baliye 7'. Actress Preity Zinta, choreographer Marzi Pestonji and author Chetan Bhagat who will judge the show came on stage to announce their new show.

Besides all the entertainment, the eliminated contestants also came back on the show for the one last time and were seen cheering the three finalists.
