Mohanlal returns to Dubai with show named after daughter

Is Mohanlal’s daughter entering the film and entertainment world?

Superstar Mohanlal is all set to come to Dubai to celebrate a vintage collection of his movies from the 1990s.

The evergreen, Malayalam hero will showcase Vismayam 2016, a show where he will perform with his heroines Poornima Bhagyaraj, Ambika, Rekha, Meena and Sukanya.

“We will bring together Mohanlal along with the gorgeous heroines of the 1990s, All these heroines played very memorable Mohanlal movies and Vimsaya 2016 will be paying tribute to them as well,” said Nisha Joseph, managing director, Whiz Media, who is organizing the event with Madhusoodhan Mavelikkara, an Indian film producer and businessman in  the UAE.

The show will unfold at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on April 8, between 7pm and 11.30pm.

Naming the show after his daughter has aroused curiosity, with many speculating whether it will be his daughter’s launch into the film industry. 

Already, the Malayalam film industry has seen many star kids take to the spotlight, with Mammootty’s son Dulquer Salmaan, Sukumaran’s son Prithviraj,  Sreenivasan’s son Vineeth among the celebrated ones. So, there’s interest to see if Mohanlal’s children Vismaya and Pranav will follow in their father’s footsteps. While there’s no confirmation about it, Mohanlal fans believe his children will enter the industry soon.

Mohanlal, who played the anti-hero in his maiden movie, impressed with this iconic dialogue “I am Narendran”, and has done over 100 movies as the hero.

According to Anil Eswaran, creative director, Vismayam 2016, the line-up will include eminent actor like R Madhavan, Mukesh, Suraj Venjarammodu, Vineeth, Kavya Madhavan, Asha Sharath, Priya Mani and Rachana Naranankutty.

Singers MG Sreekumar, Madhu Balakrishnan, Sithara, Najim Arshad, Sayanora and mimicry artists Kottayam Nazeer, Jayaraj Warrier, Nobi will also perform.
