Lights flicker, spooky sounds and then suddenly, a white figure floats by. “Boo”! screams a lady dressed in a sheer ivory sari.
Enter Bipasha Basu and dance reality show 'Nach Baliye 5' gets a much-needed lift, not that it needed one, given this is the semi-final week, but then, Bips is Bips.
On the show with co-actor Nawauddin Siddqui to promote her forthcoming film 'Aatma', Bipasha showed off her dance moves, shaking a leg with Shilpa Shetty to the song 'Bipasha Bipasha' from 'Jodi Breakers'.
The diva dancing was of little consolation to the contestants, though we are not sure about what inspiration it brought on, with the stress and the desire to win the trophy evident on each of their faces.
From a performance perspective, judges director Sajid Khan, choreographer Terrence Lewis and Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty declared it probably the best show so far, and were in a dilemma deciding the best couple of the week.
In the end, all four won.
The four couples that have made it to the finale which will be held on March 23 are: Dance India Dance (DID) host Jay Bhnushali and wife Mahhi Vij; 'Bhabho' from 'Diya aur Baati Hum' aka Neelu Vaghela and her husband Arvind Kumar; Ravi Dubey and his girlfriend Sargun Mehta from 'Kya Hua Tera Vada' ; and 'Housewife Hai Sab Jaanti Hai' fame Suhasi and Jaisheel Dhami.
