Nach Baliye 5: Sania Mirza practises 11 hrs to be No 1 dancer?

Indian Tennis sensation Sania Mirza's current WTA (World Tennis Association) singles ranking is 278 and she is placed 12 in doubles ranking.

This year she won the French Open mixed doubles, won three titles over-all and entered six finals.

It has been a relatively good year for Mirza. She may have reached her career-best ranking in doubles but Mirza herself feels that there is a scope to improve her ranking further.

One expects India's number one tennis player to spend more time in court sweating it out to up her game.

But often she is seen attending Bollywood red carpet events, walking the ramp during fashion shows and attending book releases.

Now we hear Sania Mirza and her husband, Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, are set to match steps on the dance reality show 'Nach Baliye 5'.

They will be appearing as special guests in the show and give some performances.

Sania confesses she has two left feet and feels shy dancing on stage but husband Shoaib is a good dancer and he loves dancing.

So to match steps with hubby dear and give tough time to other contestants Sania is going through the grind. She has been practicing rigorously to put her acts together.

So much so that she practices her dance moves more than her tennis strokes. A couple of days ago Sania tweeted: "Started the day at 5.30 in the morning, 2 hours of practice followed by a 11 hour shoot for nach baliye..Its safe to say I am exhausted!!!"

Boy! Two hours of practice and eleven hours of 'Nach Baliye'? The makers of the reality show will be overjoyed with the kind of dedication Sania displayed.

During the shoot both husband and wife performed on one romantic song in which there were a couple of lifts and swirls. Since Sania doesn't consider herself a good dancer they had to practice for few days.

Sania, who was nursing a knee injury a couple of months back, will leave for the Australian Open starting from January 14. She is prone to injuries and often suffered set backs due to her joint structure.

It won't be of any good if Sania injures herself again before any big match.

Her fans would love to see Sania's powerful forehand ground strokes on court rather than see her struggle with two left feet on the dance floor.
