Neetu not to be blamed for Ranbir-Deepika split; is it Katrina Kaif?

A lot has been said and a lot has been written about Bollywood ex-lovers Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's affair and break-up.

But as the actors hop from one studio to another, attend events to promote their movie 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' they are reminded of their past link time and again.

Various theories did the rounds when they broke-up; fans and media conjured how infidelity was the reason behind the fall out.

One such theory was that Ranbir's mother Neetu Kapoor was the reason. There were reports that Neetu did not approve of Deepika and mamma's boy did what pleased Neetu.

But after so many years Ranbir came out and defended his mother.

"It's an issue between two individuals, but people work on several theories and then disturb things. My mother loves me a lot and wants me to live my own life. My mother is also very fond of Deepika. So, at least this was not the reason for the split. I want to clarify, my mother was not the reason for the break-up," Ranbir said on TV show 'Aap Ki Adalat' hosted by Rajat Sharma.

Ranbir, 30, and Deepika, 27, began dating when they met on the sets of 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' in 2008 and the couple split after a year.

So if Neetu Kapoor was not the reason for their break-up what happened to the lovey-dovey couple?

On a chat show after their break-up Deepika indirectly said it was infidelity on Ranbir's part which broke her heart.

So if infidelity is the reason, let's shift focus on Katrina Kaif.

Ranbir and Katrina have done two films together – ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ (2009) and ‘Rajneeti’ (2010).

And it was during ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ that Ranbir took fancy of Katrina who seized the opportunity despite Ranbir and Deepika being a couple at that time.

Deepika caught Katrina visiting Ranbir in New York over New Years when he was shooting with Priyanka Chopra for 'Anjaana Anjaani'. Deepika knew all along that Kat and Ranbir were getting too close for her comfort and Deepika was fed up of constantly being lied to.

And if eyewitness account is to be believed Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were seen getting intimate throughout their flight journey from Frankfurt to Mumbai. They were seated in row 81 seat #J & K upper deck First Class to be precise!

The two have always maintained they are “just good friends” and have never opened up about their “relationship”.

So wonder why good friends always sneak in late into each other's apartment?

They tried to keep their late night rendezvous discreet but news somehow travelled to media; good PR job!

Nonetheless, we believe when Ranbir says it's not his mmother to be blamed for his break-up with Deepika.

Ranbir was the one who cheated on Deepika with Katrina Kaif.
