Salman Khan has always been called the ‘Dabangg’ of Bollywood. And that has more to do with just his film ‘Dabangg’.

Salman Khan has always had his share of controversies. Be it, roughing up with a reporter or his tiff with Shah Rukh Khan. But seems like, now, there are others to fill up the void, when Salman isn’t involved in any tiff.  Case in point is the recent Saif Ali Khan-hotel brawl. Tell this to him, and the ‘Wanted’ actor says, “Yes, other people are making history for me now. Though, I still hold the franchise when it comes to bashing someone.”

But the good hearted person that he is, Salman does empathise with Saif as he says, “A huge issue was made. Nobody even bothered to find out the actual story first. Whether, Saif got beaten up first or what was it all about? But we shall trust this businessman who has come from South Africa.”

And yes, while we do agree that the matter did get aggravated out of proportion; Salman seems to lend all his support to the Nawaab of Bollwood.

He further continues, “The press should have waited for Saif to come out and put across his point, thus explain himself. He has been in the industry for the last 18 years, and has never behaved in a manner like this. Have you guys ever heard or seen him being rough to anybody? But people started behaving, and blaming him, like we they know him at all.”

Well, Salman also seems more confident about Saif, since Salman’s family member, Malaika Arora Khan was also a co-diner along with Saif, amongst few others at the restaurant while the brawl took place.

Salman said, “Malaika was present there, and few others too. I’m sure he (NRI Iqbal Shrma) may be right, but then find out what the whole thing, with details and only then put it on TV.  One of the pictures, that someone took at the hotel, showed Saif, and his shirt was ripped. Hence, first find out the truth. More often than not, Media ends up blaming us actors, and we have to pay the price of being famous.” Clearly,

Saif was involved in a scuffle early Wednesday with South Africa-based Indian businessman Iqbal Sharma. The latter alleged that Saif abused and assaulted him and his father-in-law and filed a complained at the Colaba police station, the actor said he was provoked to do so.

Following Sharma's complain the 41-year-old actor was arrested Wednesday evening with two others.

Police detained the trio and after an hour long interrogation they were let off on personal bonds of Rs.3,000 each.

According to Sharma, Saif called him names for complaining about the actor's loud conduct at the restaurant. He had requested the restaurant manager to ask Saif and his friends to keep their voices down.

Salman’s strong words are also a result of the fact that he himself has been at the receiving end of such controversies. Or should we say, who knows this better than the so called ‘bad boy’ of ‘Bollywood.

And as far as the new bad boy Saif is concerned, guess, we’ll have to do with a little bit of more patience.
