The most successful debut as an actor remains with Farhan Akhtar who after making films like ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Lakshya’ still went on to debut with ‘Rock On’ and did films like ‘Luck By Chance’, ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’, ‘Zindgi Na Milegi Dobara’, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ and ‘Shadi

It is, indeed, a good idea to cast directors who know to act these days than rank newcomers as it also helps a good deal of publicity for these films.
