Oh yes we know, the Oscars are about honouring film, talent and best of movie world, but to many they are also about the dresses.

Who is wearing what? What colors is in (and out)? Will there be a style mishap or a fashion statement?

Oscars snub? Who cares - Jennifer Aniston is the golden lady.

Jennifer Lopez looks smoking hot in this plunging dress.

Margot Robbie can make long-sleeved black from head to toe plus a blunt mom bob look sexy, again a Saint Laurent dress.

Eddie Redmayne looks dapper in a blue suit.

As the red carpet rolls out for the Oscars night in Hollywood, it is not only the biggest night in Hollywood, it is a major night for celebrity designers.

The long parade of women in glamorous gowns and expensive jewelry that starts in January at the Critics Choice, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards finally ends with the Oscars.

Experts say, the best looks is always saved for last.

Colorful gowns that show some skin and classical looks from Hollywood's Golden Age is de rigueur, with perhaps a white dress or two.

The Oscars are the biggest fashion show on the planet.

This year's nominees include Julianne Moore, Reese Witherspoon, Rosamund Pike, Felicity Jones and Emma Stone, all closely watched on the red carpet.
