Pakistanis in Dubai get Independence Day celebrations going with ‘Desi Sports Night’

Pakistan Association Dubai held a Pakistan ‘Desi Sports Night’ at its premises as part of its Pakistan Independence Day celebrations.
 
Pakistan cultural games including Panja Aazmai, Bazoo Pakrai, Pitho Garam, and Bori Race were organised, reflecting the country’s true culture.

 

 

 
A friendly match of Rassa Kashi was played between Geo, Sama and Mamzar Boys which was won by the media team.
 
A large number of families participated in the event and surprise games were arranged for children.
 
Chief Guest for the event Noor-ul-Hassan Tanveer inaugurated the ceremony.
 
Mr. Tanveer mentioned that it is important to keep the tradition of Pakistani sports alive within the youth. Sports activities are helpful in showcasing the soft image of Pakistan and to bring the community together, he added.

 

 



He appreciated Pakistan Association Dubai for doing an excellent job in this regard.
 
All matches were broadcast ‘live’ on PAD’s Facebook page.


 
Executive Committee Member Tariq Rehman and Joint Secretary Tahir Hasnain Zaidi distributed the prizes to the winning teams.
 
The event was dedicated to the Quetta Martyrs.
