Pregnant with... expectation: All eyes on Aishwarya Rai, again

It's almost time for Cannes 2014 and time to soak our celebrity thirsty eyes when the crème de la crème of global movie industry descend on the French Riviera.

Bollywood's Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be attending the film fest this year with her husband, Abhishek Bachchan.

India's unofficial ambassador to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, this will be Aishwarya's 13th appearance at the red carpet.

On the fashion front, Ash has always been facing harsh criticism. The L'Oreal Paris brand ambassador has received a lot of flak for her style sense at the international film fiesta.

This time around too the fashion police will keep an eye on Ash.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya recently completed seven years of matrimony. The couple was blessed with a baby girl Aaradhya in 2011.

If we give any importance to the rumour mills, it is allegedly being said that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is pregnant again.

According to a news report, Aishwarya, who been spotted casting her vote in the on-going Indian elections, was apparently looking chubbier than usual.

Recently, the 40-year-old actress attended the commemoration of the third death anniversary of Indian guru and spiritual leader Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in Mumbai.

Ash, an ex-student of the Sathya Sai Bal Vikas programme, was invited as a guest of honour to pay tribute to Sri Sathya Sai Baba, and she was dressed in a loose, full-sleeved cotton kurta with a loosely hung veil.

Her loose attire in the event also raised eyebrows.

But this dressing down could be more for the solemn occasion, so while wearing a respectful green-and-gold anarkali suit Ash didn't want to attract unwanted attention.

Wearing her signature cat eye makeup and straight locks, the L'Oreal Paris spokeswoman looked ravishing but not overdone.

The 'Guru' actress has been away from the silver screen since her pregnancy and has been on a self-imposed sabbatical.

But she was never really away from limelight - the former Miss World has always been a tabloid favourite.

Ash's comeback has been a mystery for Bollywood.

There are reports that Aishwarya will soon be seen on screen in Mani Ratnam's film.

It has also been reported that ex-Miss Universe Sushmita Sen and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, are set to share screen space soon.

Now, that would be interesting to watch given that they were competitors in the Miss India beauty pageant 20 years ago and have maintained their distance since.
 
Also, making the news special is the project would be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s comeback vehicle.

It is being rumoured that Ash and Sush will be back together with ‘Happy Anniversary’, which is being directed by ad guru Prahlad Kakkar - his debut. 

With conflicting reports floating around Ash's comeback it is evident how fans are eager to see the actress back on screen.

It's just a matter of time before Aishwarya makes the grand comeback.

Last seen in ‘Guzaarish’ in 2010; there was a loud cheer when Aiswharya finally opened up during a television interview about reading scripts.
 
She assured fans saying, “Looking forward to interesting scripts, there have been scripts coming my way and everybody have been asking me about getting down to planning schedules. There are several offers but am slowly getting around to reading scripts now."
