Priyanka Chopra heats up the ramp; freezes Ice Bucket Challenge

Model-turned-actress Priyanka Chopra's look wowed when she hit the ramp on Sunday in Varun Bahl's 'comfortable' attire as his showstopper at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014 finale.

The former beauty queen sashayed on the runway in black palazzo pants, crop top in the same shade teamed with sliver sequenced jacket. With a stylish hairdo and a heavy neckpiece, the actress looked her absolute best.

Priyanka Chopra made a grand entry at Manisha Malhotra's fashion show at Lakme Fashion Week. She wore a beautiful saree and looked every bit of a mega star.

Infact, she had also tweeted this before the show, "On my way to #lakmefashionweek .. Walking the ramp always makes me nervous.. What if I trip?? Yikes. Pls don't say "break a leg" !!! Lol"

But she is in news not just for scorching the ramp but putting a freez on the much hyped ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

Priyanka has been nominated by many to take up the ALS ice bucket challenge, but she doesn’t seem to be interested.

The challenge involves dumping buckets of ice water over one’s head to spread awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), or Lou Gehrig’s disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.

In case an individual declines to take up the challenge one has to donate $100 towards the cause.

Apart from Hollywood stars like Tom Cruise, Robert Pattinson and Nicole Kidman accepting it, Bollywood stars like Akshay Kumar, Bipasha Basu and Abhishek Bachchan also took up the challenge.

But Priyanka is not joining the league.

The link shared by her shows an Australian newsreader Lincoln Humphries, who firmly shuts the idea down. Humphries acknowledged the good that the ice bucket challenge has done, then suggested some other things that can be done to make a difference, including spreading the love around to other deserving causes like cancer and fresh water charities, and not wasting so much ice.

Earlier, Sonam Kapoor had refused to take up the challenge after being nominated by “Fukrey” fame Pulkit Samrat.

She tweeted: “@PulkitSamrat already made a donation!! Not dumping water :-( waste of resources!”

Sonakshi Sinha shared a video of herself on Instagram participating in the Ice Bucket Challenge.

But Sonakshi took the Ice Bucket Challenge uninvited, with a twist, her bucket contained a solitary ice cube and the actress urged her fans to save water and simply donate to the charity.
