There’s no stopping Priyanka Chopra. After wrapping Bollywood in her palms and storming into Hollywood now the actress cum singer has made it to the Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world.

She lives by her own rules… For starters, Priyanka makes other actors work on Saturdays because they need to adjust to her schedules. Secondly, she gets the assistant director to wait outside her vanity van very much like the way they do here in Bollywood. And yes, thirdly, she even reaches late on the sets and no one complains.

Ask her about it and she is all smiles.

“See, it all began when I had to come to India to collect my Padma Shri Award. It threw the entire shooting off gear. The shoot was planned, but then I would have not have missed receiving the Padma award for anything. So I had to come, collect the award, do my media interaction and then return to the shoot of ‘Quantico’, which meant a good three days of missing the shoot. That effectively meant that all other actors needed to change their schedules and also work on Saturdays which they do not appreciate otherwise. Thankfully they decided to bend the rules for me and adjust to a few things, because they like me,” she laughs.

Chopra, however, does not just stop at changing rules. “There is a difference in the West when it comes to TV shows and films. On the sets of ‘Quantico’, it was a different experience. TV in the West is very different from India.  But when it comes to the movies, I have made sure that Hollywood is copying Bollywood. Yes, it is true that I have made the assistant director wait outside my vanity van. There have been last minute changes to the script minutes before the shooting of the film. I do come to the sets a good 15 minutes late and no one seems to have a problem at the moment. I like to set my rules and live by my rules,” she says with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
