Priyanka, Ranveer take over the show from Kareena, Ranbir Kapoor

More than a year ago filmmaker Zoya Akhtar had written a script keeping cousins Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in mind to play reel life brother-sister.

But things have gone awry for the director and it looks like the two cousins will be replaced by Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh.
 
Priyanka, who stars opposite Ranveer in 'Gunday', has been approached to essay his sister by Zoya.

And Mumbai Mirror reports that the desi girl has given her nod.

Zoya Akhtar's initial plans to cast Ranbir and Kareena fell apart coz the latest busy-bee of Bollywood could not allot any dates from his busy schedule.

Although, Kareena was excited to act with Ranbir but with a change of plan and her on-screen brother, she took a step back.

Zoya replaced Ranbir with Ranveer Singh and Kareena was apprehensive about playing his elder sister.
 
This is not the first time that Ranveer's dream of working with Kareena has been quashed.

They were earlier slated to work together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Ram Leela'. But Kareena had opted out of the project citing date issues after which Deepika Padukone was penciled in.

It will be interesting to see Priyanka and Ranveer exchanging sibling love after starring together in 'Gunday'.
