Rajnikanth pulls a Salman Khan with 6-pack abs in ‘Kochadaiyaan’

The mind boggles at which piece of news should be absorbed first.

The film in question is the highly anticipated ‘Kochadaiyaan’, which has been directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya Ashwin.

Slated for a possible July release, the new image that hit the cyber circuit this week, sees a double bill of the southern superstar, who has clearly reinvented himself for this periodic epic.

With several fans saying the look is inspired from Salman Khan’s six-pack abs, the 62-year-old Rajnikanth appears in his prime with a chiselled appearance that could put actors half his age to shame, even if it is computer generated.

While details on the film are still murky, the Eros International production reportedly sees the superstar play a commander in an emperor’s army, with his son playing his doppelganger.

Also starring in this film is Deepika Padukone.

The film had suffered production delays in 2011, when Rajnikanth was hospitalised for a brief period.

However, if the first look of the film is any indication, the superstar is set to silence critics.
