Ranbir, Deepika sizzle on-screen; should Katrina be worried?

Anyone who has seen Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor jamming it up in the latest music track of Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ would agree that the two ex-lovers share sizzling chemistry on-screen.

They might not have struck the right chord as lovers off-screen, but on-screen they are pitch-perfect.

Could this new bonding of the ex-lovers have irked Ranbir’s “current” lover Katrina Kaif?

The current updates from Mumbai suggest just that.

And, it’s possible that this insecurity had translated into the two beauties cold-shouldering each other at the recent launch party of the Indian Premier League (IPL), alongside a chirpy Shah Rukh Khan.

The recently released videos of the music tracks – 'Dilliwaali girlfriend' and ‘Balam Pichkari’ – pictures the ex-lovers’ fondness for each other.

Even during the music launch of the movie, Ranbir shielded Deepika from the nosy reporters, who quizzed her about her ‘RK’ tattoo, which she had inked when they were dating.

When asked if she’d get another tattoo to promote ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, Ranbir was visibily irked.

"You ask a question like this and if Deepika answers it, that would become an article for you. So it will be best that you also have a little dignity at a press conference like this and not bring up questions like this," he answered on her behalf.

"I don't think any actor in the film fraternity does things for promoting and marketing of a film. We also have a personal life. We do things for a film, but when we go home, we have a life, parents, family, friends. So you should respect that,” he rambled on.

The ex-lovers, who were last seen in ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, have not done a project together in the last four years.

Apparently, Katrina has been quite unsettled by all the attention that Ranbir and Deepika have received so far.

In fact, during a recent trip to Vancouver for a film awards event, Katrina had staged a walkout and had forced Ranbir to go out of his way to pacify her.

The camera-shy couple were inevitably caught by a fan, who spotted them sharing some ‘couple time’ at the Vancouver airport.

In fact, when they reached Mumbai, Ranbir had to take her home for a late-night patch-up session, because Katrina was apparently getting a bit too insecure.
