Ranveer dares to trash Salman Khan's 'magical' Ek Tha Tiger

While the entire Bollywood and the whole of India is going gaga about Salman Khan's 'Ek Tha Tiger' and hailing the actor as the new king of Mumbai film industry, there is one man who dares to hold a different opinion.

Ranveer Singh, who is a mere two-movies old in the Hindi film industry, did not mince his words while criticising the lack of content in Salman's record breaking movie.

This is an unprecedented move by Ranveer to criticise Salman and his movie as no actor or critics dare to condemn this Khan who has been creating magic at the box office.

Ranveer expressed his displeasure about ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ on Twitter, saying he liked only the last 15 minutes of the film.

He wrote on the micro-blogging site: “EK THA TIGER felt absolute bore bt (sic) last 15min was magical. nice stunt nd action @beingsalmankhan pra.”

Aha! that's a very clever move by Ranveer not to trash Salman Khan.

For sure he knew what would be the outcome of antagonising Salman; enlightened from the lesson learnt by a certain Vivek Oberoi and Himesh Reshammiya.

For those who cannot recall the previous incidents, this is what went wrong with Vivek and Himesh:

Vivek Oberoi, once touted to be the next big thing of Bollywood, not only stole Salman's then girlfriend Aishwarya Rai but also called a press conference to tell the world that Salman was threatening him on phone and even sending him similar messages. Next thing fans know, Vivek had completely disappeared from the silver screen as no producer-director worth their salt wanted him in their project. The actor had no idea what had hit him as he witnessed his movie career plummet.

Himesh Reshammiya got the big break in the industry courtesy Salman Khan. But Himesh had outgrown himself and began presenting himself as an actor. Himesh, after a good innings in the industry, saw his career graph going down. He soon realised that it's not a good idea not to be in Salman Khan's good books.

Now back to Ranveer Singh, though the young actor stayed clear from Salman it was not wise of him to bad mouth Salman's movie which collected a staggering Rs 200 crores worldwide within the first 12 days.

No one from the industry or Salman camp reacted to his tweets but a news channel picked it up and this delighted Ranveer, almost as if he was waiting with bated breath for this controversy to pick up.

Ranveer Singh urged his followers to switch on to the news channel which focused on his tweets.

“Guys switch to aajtak channel fast. U will get to know how fake i am.”

He seemed to be enjoying the attention and added, “I have criticized ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ on twitter and a special episode is coming on aaj tak now threatening me. Mai darta nai (I am not scared).”

Well, Ranveer shouldn't be scared, not yet.

And when one thought the drama had ended, Ranveer Singh tweeted again. This time he went a notch up and tweeted: "While i was passing through a multiplex, people aftr seeing EK THA TIGER were asking
for TIGER BAAM (sic)."

One wonders what prompted Ranveer to go so wild with his criticism. If a film is made there can be negative and positive reviews but why is Ranveer screaming his opinion from the rooftop and enjoying it? Does he not realise that his two seconds of fame could only lead to his downfall?

Ranveer is about to start work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in 'Ram Leela'. Maybe his association with Bhansali has given him some extra courage to go vocal about Salman, considering the filmmaker is also no longer friends with the beefy actor.

Upping his criticism about the movie Ranveer is more than willing to stir up a hornet’s nest.

After all, Salman Khan is known to hold grudges for a long time and pay his enemies in dividend.

Now, Ranveer’s PR team has come out to do some demage control. They have sent an official message clarifying that the tweet was not sent out by the actor.

The PR team said Ranveer is on twitter with a handle @RanveerOfficial and not @iRanveersingh.

Now will that satisfy Salman's fan and 'Ek Tha Tiger' team remains to be seen.
