Ranveer denies meeting Akshay

Ranveer Singh's team has denied rumours that the actor went out of his way to meet friend Akshay Kumar to discuss the impending clash of his film for Sanjay Leela Bhansali - Padmavat with Akshay's movie Padman during Republic Day.

The gossip mills have been abuzz with stories that Ranveer met Akshay regarding the release as it would not just hamper the collections of the film, but eventually their stardom as well.

"It is not true," says Ranveer's spokesperson.

Ranveer and Akshay have often been very friendly during their interactions and have promoted each other’s films in a very funny and a positive manner. However, they would not be able to do so in the event of the clash between their respective movies. Hence it was being speculated that they had met to find a middle road.
