Bigg Boss, the ones that escaped: Shiney Ahuja, Poonam Pandey, Evelyn

The countdown to Indian reality show Bigg Boss 8 hosted by Bollywood actor Salman Khan has begun.

Names of celebs from interesting walks of life have been doing the rounds, but the makers, like always, are not ready yet to disclose anything before the show goes on-air.

In the past audiences have seen that the show has an affinity towards controversial figures or actors who are desperate to make a comeback.

We bring you list of few such controversial figures who were approached previously by the makers of the show but they refused.

Evelyn Sharma: The 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' actress Evelyn Sharma, was reportedly approached by the makers. However, she refused. The actress says that she is claustrophobic and can’t be stuck in one house for so long. Plus she says she will start shooting for her next film soon and hence there could have been a clash in dates.

Poonam Pandey: This model-turned actress has risen to fame because of her controversies and posting seminude selfies on social platforms. Surprisingly Poonam had also refused to be a part of reality show. It is reported that the starlet demanded a fatter pay for her stint. Poonam had been approached for the last three seasons for Bigg Boss, but things couldn't work out due to monetary issues.

Shiney Ahuja: Actor Shiney Ahuja, who was convicted of raping his maid and sentenced to seven years imprisonment, has been allegedly approached to be a part of Bigg Boss. The actor said he will never be a part of the reality show. He stresses that he was approached for Bigg Boss four years ago, but made it clear that he will never be a part of it.

Jackie Shroff: There is no confirmation on this name but there were reports that suggested that Bigg Boss makers had approached actor Jackie Shroff. However, the super cool actor turned down the offer. Jackie was ready to host it but not be an inmate there.

Yo Yo Honey Singh: Popular rapper Honey Singh is starting his own singing talent show soon. However, in 2012 the singer was offered to be part of Bigg Boss. A Hindustan Times report says Yo Yo Honey Singh refused to participate as he was not happy with the remuneration he was being offered. 

 
Shama Sikander: TV actress Shama Sikander says she was approached by the makers of Bigg Boss five times. However, as she does not like the format of the reality show, she refused to participate in it.

Taslima Nasreen: Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen, who has been granted a residential visa in India was invited to participate in the eighth season of reality show Bigg Boss. Speaking about why she refused to be a part of the show, the author tweeted, “Colors TV called. Wants me in Bigg Boss. I politely refused. Said, 'u'll get chance 2 show urslf 2 world & u'll get money'. Then I impolitely refused.”

Sonarika Bhadoria: The gorgeous TV actress Sonarika Bhadoria was allegedly asked to be a part of the controversial show. However, a report in Daily Bhaskar says she refused as she did not want to make her life public.
