Robert Pattinson had an "amazing time" out with friends in a Californian bar at the weekend - his first night out in public since girlfriend Kristen Stewart admitted her affair.
The 26-year-old actor appeared in public for the first time since his girlfriend Kristen Stewart admitted cheating on him with 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director Rupert Sanders at Deer Lodge, a country-western bar in Ojai, California, close to the home of Reese Witherspoon, where he is currently staying.
One onlooker told Us Weekly: "He seemed to be having an amazing time. He had a few drinks and laughs.
"He looked like a guy that was just trying to enjoy himself and get away ... seems like a good kid!"
Despite his personal troubles, the notoriously private actor - who is best known for playing vampire Edward Cullen in the 'Twilight Saga' movie series - was happy to mingle with fellow revellers in the bar.
One patron tweeted: "Awesome night in Ojai. Got to hang with a rowdy bunch of Brits & one of them happened to be Edward.
"He wasn't moping and the girls were definitely just his friend."
"The girls were nice. I stood next to them at the bar."
Robert Pattinson is scheduled to give his first interview on August 15 since news of his cheating girlfriend Kristen Stewart surfaced.
The Twilight actor is due to appear on ABC’s Good Morning America the breakfast show on the channel.
Whether questions on Kriten Stewart is off-limit remains to be seen.
This television appearance is part of Pattinson's promotion for 'Cosmopolis'.
Pattinson is also expected to attend the red carpet premiere in New York City two days prior to the interview.
