Despite all the fillers and sound bites expressing her eagerness to work with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan it looks like Deepika Padukone's wish will have to wait.

It won’t be Deepika opposite Salman in the Sooraj Barjatya film which will be shot soon.

Sources say that Salman had expressed reservations against a busy actress and opted for a girl who is said to neither be a new comer or someone senior in the industry.

Right now the 'Ram-Leela' actress is busy filming 'Happy New Year' opposite Shah Rukh Khan and her 'Finding Fanny Fernandes' is approaching release date.

Deepika is then committed to Imtiaz Ali’s next film for the past one year. And might also be part of Karan Johar's production 'Shuddhi'.

So, it can be safe to say that the busy actress is victim of her packed schedule.

Even though Salman Khan told us that he would not be the person making the choice of the heroine and it would be the production house and the director’s prerogative, he seems to have laid down certain conditions for the choice of the heroine that will not enable Deepika to be the heroine of the film.

Himesh Reshammiya and Irshad Kamil have been roped in to do the music and the lyrics of the film.

Taking Himesh onboard as opposed to the traditional music composers in the Rajshi Productions Banner also comes as a strong surprise.

Another character has been finalised in the film - Deepak Dobriyal will take on the friend-cum-comedian role. He will double up as Salman Khan’s trusted lieutenant in the film.

The production house is expected to announce the heroine as well as the name of the film very soon before they start their pre-production.

Enquiries with the production house did not yield any response.
