Salman plans Arpita's wedding; invites Modi, Shah Rukh, Katrina

Wedding bells are ringing at the Khan residence in Mumbai and Salman Khan is sparing no expense for his youngest sister Arpita Khan's special day.

Arpita is tying the knot to Delhi-based businessman Ayush Sharma and her family is turning the occasion into a royal affair.

The Venue:

The main ceremony will take place in Hyderabad on the November 18, followed by a grand function on the 19th and a reception in Mumbai on 21st.

Arpita and her beau Aayush wanted to get married in a palace so Salman has booked the Falaknuma Palace hotel in Hyderabad.

The Taj Falaknuma is one of the most picturesque heritage hotels of India, nestled in the royal palace of the Nizams - just 5 km away from the famous Charminar.

The family has booked the entire hotel for Rs 2 cr (INR) for two days.

The palace has 60 rooms and by booking the entire hotel, Salman has ensured that outsiders won’t gatecrash the festivities.

The Khans and their guests will arrive on November 18 and will check out on the 20th. Around 250 people have been invited and the wedding ceremony will take place in the lawn.

Wedding Guest:

Salman, who is shooting for his movie 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' in Delhi, met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and invited him to the wedding.

Salman's arch rival Shah Rukh Khan is on the guest list of what's been dubbed as one of the most expensive celebrity wedding of the year.

Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif and Aamir Khan have found their way into the list of invitees for Arpita's wedding.

Meanwhile, invitation has been sent to several Telugu film personalities, high-profile business and politicians.

Actors Venkatesh, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Suresh Babu have all been invited with their families. Among the businessmen, the Reddys including Pinky Reddy and her family, Apollo hospital founder-owner Dr Prathap C Reddy are also on the guest list.

Wedding Card:

The wedding invitations have made their way to the Internet. It is a gold-plated invitation card with beautiful rose print, which is presented in a box with the initials of the bride and the groom.

The box contains leaflets with information about each pre-wedding functions.

And that's not all; the guests are treated to a special batch of cupcakes with the card.

Wedding Trousseau:

Arpita's wedding trousseau has been designed by Manish Malhotra.

Her elder brother, actor-filmmaker Sohail's wife Seema along with Sangeeta Bijlani is helping the bride finish the last leg of shopping her ensembles.

The haldi ceremony (pre-wedding ritual) is on the 16 after which the family is flying down to Hyderabad.

What's on the menu:

The menu has been crafted by the famous chefs of the heritage hotel.

It'll be an exotic global spread but Hyderabadi specialties like the 'biryani', 'khubani ka meetha' and 'shahi tukda' will also be there.
