Shah Rukh Khan dumps Priyanka for Katrina?

In a world of superficiality and fleeting friendships, B-towners are known to shift loyalties at their whims and fancies.

And, in keeping with that tradition, Shah Rukh Khan is now seen favouring his ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ co-star Katrina Kaif over his one-time “special-friend” Priyanka Chopra.

If rumours are to be believed, SRK has allegedly sidelined Priyanka to accommodate Katrina in Farah Khan’s next ‘Happy New Year’.

Although there’s no confirmation yet, numerous theories are floating around about SRK’s growing fondness for Salman’s alleged ex-lover Katrina.

Interestingly, the initial talks suggested that the role of a Maharastrian middle-class girl was first offered to Priyanka Chopra.

These developments attain relevance in the backdrop of media reports suggesting that Katrina was upset with Priyanka for “stealing” ‘Gunday’ from her.

She later dismissed the reports saying it didn’t make sense as she does not delve about a project after she had to say no to it.

But, the bigger picture suggests this cat fight is just a consequence of the legendary tiff between SRK and Salman Khan.

Recently, the Khans had swapped their 'female friends' for recent stage shows, with SRK pairing up with Katrina and Salman with Priyanka.

In fact, SRK and Katrina made headlines for being in the same car, on their return from the concert.

“What were Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif doing in the same car?” headlined a leading Bollywood website.

“Katrina and Shah Rukh were spotted at Mumbai international airport after they arrived from the Temptations Reloaded tour in Muscat. The duo zoomed off in a white BMW.

“Though the two have many swanky cars, we wonder why Kat decided to travel in Shah Rukh’s car.”

The Khans’ famous tiff, which ticked off in 2008 at Katrina’s birthday bash, has been revisited time and again. With the conflict attainting much attention over SRK’s on-screen romance with Katrina in ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’.

Although it was reported that the two Khans did appear at the ‘JTHJ’ premiere, sparking rumours of a patch-up, Shah Rukh quashed those speculations by proclaiming that a public reconciliation with Salman was highly unlikely.

Even during the promotion work for ‘JTHJ’, Salman made his preference evident after teaming up with the rival film ‘Son of Sardaar’ for an item jig.
