Looks like Bollywood’s brimming with promise of cinematic excellence. From quintessential Bollywood romance to action, to drama, there’s a hint at  good times to come.

If the trailers are any indicators, these would be game-changers in their own right. While Rohit Shetty’s ‘Diwale’ will blatantly cash in on Bollywood masala, Bejoy Nambiar’s ‘Wazir’ and Raja Menon’s ‘Airlift’ appear to breakaway from the stereotypes.

Judging purely by the popularity charts, King Khan races ahead of the pack with the romantic track of his next big release ‘Dilwale’. It gets added weightage for reuniting him with his famous reel lover Kajol after five years.

Titled ‘Gerua’, the 4.45-minute track captures Bollywood’s most celebrated couple in staggeringly beautiful frames. It was released at Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir cinema hall on Wednesday.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, the movie promises to pack in enough masala to feed on the run-of-the-mill Bollywood formula. Written by Amitabh Battacharya and tuned by Pritam, the track is voiced by Arijit Singh and Antara Mitra. Also starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, the movie will hit theatres on December 17 in the UAE.

The next big unveiling saw Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar step out to launch ‘Wazir’. Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Bejoy Nambiar, ‘Wazir’ centres around a wheelchair-bound chess grandmaster and a military officer as they join forces to eliminate an evil mind. Also starring Aditi Rao Hydari, John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh, ‘Wazir’ is slated for release on January 7.

Superstar Akshay Kumar’s action drama ‘Airlift’, which was shot extensively in Ras Al Khaimah, also promises to pack a punch - Based on a true story, ‘Airlift’ tracks the journey of an Indian businessman as he cracks under the impact of the menacing war on Kuwait in 1990. Directed by Raja Menon, the movie also stars ‘Lunchbox’ star Nimrat Kaur in the lead.
