Shah Rukh Khan out of action for six weeks after shoulder surgery

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who underwent surgery on his right shoulder in Mummbai was discharged on Wednesday evening.

A source close to the family revealed that the surgery went off well and he is absolutely fine. When Shah Rukh was discharged his wife Gauri was with him.

Shah Rukh underwent surgery on his right shoulder on Monday afternoon and his son Aryan flew down from London to be with his father.

SRK was in the hospital for two days and it is reported that he will have to keep his arm in a pouch-sling for at least six weeks.

The superstar will have to start some exercises so that his shoulder heals completely.

Sources close to SRK says that the surgery was due for quite some time.

Shah Rukh had injured himself during a shoot, but later he got busy with various projects and could not take care of his ailment.

He wanted to get the surgery done only after wrapping up the shooting for 'Chennai Express'.

While shooting for Rohit Shetty's 'Chennai Express', the 47-year-old actor often suffered from pang of pain in his shoulder, but he refused to use body doubles during sequences.

Shah Rukh wrapped up 'Chennai Express' on May 25.

This is actor's eighth surgery, last one being in 2010 when he injured himself while shooting for his home production, 'RA.One'.

After recuperating, Shah Rukh will start promoting 'Chennai Express' and begin work on Farah Khan's film 'Happy New Year'.
