Shahid Kapoor replaces Madhuri Dixit in 'Jhalak Dikhla Ja'

Colors channel CEO Raj Nayak took to Twitter on Monday to announce Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor's entry in dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa'.

He tweeted; "Colors welcomes the King of dance and actor par excellence @shahidkapoor to #JhalakDikhlaJaa Coming soon #YouthIcon."

After judging the show for three consecutive seasons Madhuri Dixit has been replaced by new judge Shahid.

The 48-year-old actor said she is opting out of the judging panel of the Colors reality show to concentrate on another project on the channel.

Madhuri in a statement had said that she might be back on TV with probably something even more exciting.

If rumours are to be believed Shahid is charging a whopping amount of about Rs 1.75 crore per episode - much more than the actress.

The upcoming eighth season of 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' - the Indian version of the internationally-acclaimed reality show 'Dancing with the Stars' - will feature celebrities like Shamita Shetty, Raftaar, Vivian Dsena, Radhika Madan, Kavita Kaushik, Sanaya Irani, Deepika Samson, Ashish Chowdhry, Mohit Malik, Scarlett Mellish Wilson and Faisal Khan.

The show is expected to go on air in July.
