Sunny Leone on why she will never win Bollywood awards

Bollywood actress Sunny Leone should be pleased now that her 'Ek Paheli Leela' did a brisk business of about Rs16 crore (Dh9.4 m) in the first three days of its release.

But the actress is not looking forward to the award season.

Talking to Hindustan Times, Sunny said that her past profession stands in her way of getting appreciation and accolades from the industry.

Sunny has always been vocal about not regretting her past as an actor in the adult film industry.

But she also says that her past profession is the reason many in the industry do not like her.

She is almost certain she will never win an award in the industry but feels genuinely happy for those who do.

While promoting her movie, Sunny acknowledged that she enjoys attending award functions and socialising.

Her Bobby Khan directed 'Leela' was panned by the critics but it trounced big films like 'Shamitabh' and 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!' in day 1 collection.

Despite all the criticism and condescension, Sunny Leone enjoys a set of audience. The film has in fact managed to do much better then big-budget films.
