Sussanne comes to Hrithik's rescue in ugly battle with Kangana

Actor Hrithik Roshan's ex-wife Sussanne Khan has voiced her support in favour of the 42-year-old actor, who is currently in the midst of a legal battle with actress Kangana Ranaut, with whom he allegedly had an affair.

A leaked picture featuring Mr Roshan and Ms Ranaut had made headlines recently with the latter's lawyer telling Indian news agency: "They are lying and using dangerous ways to camouflage that lie."

Ex-wife Sussanne tweeted on Wednesday: "Pictures are photoshopped and untrue stories carry 2 much weight.another pic for d rec. I support @iHrithik in this. (sic)"

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan married in 2000 and divorced in 2014.

The leaked picture is reportedly from a party which was also attended by Mr Roshan's former wife and many other common friends. She also posted a picture to support her claim.

Ms Ranaut and Mr Roshan reportedly dated after starring in the films 'Kites' and 'Krrish 3'.

Hrithik Roshan's lawyers say that they have evidence that the alleged affair never happened. Ms Ranaut, who is accused of stalling the police investigation, will record her statement on April 30.

Mr Roshan sent Ms Ranaut a legal notice in March after she appeared to refer to him as a 'silly ex' in an interview while Ms Ranaut has accused Mr Roshan of 'slut-shaming' her by circulating private photos and mails.

Resolve the matter

In a new development both Hrithik and Kangana will not be giving any more statements to the media and will try to amicably resolve the issue.

"In any event we would like everyone to know that some common people have started intervening in the matter and want the matter to be resolved amicably. Therefore, to end the matter on a positive note we shall not be giving any further statement to the media on the said matter, as the same has also been assured from their side," Kangana said in a statement.

What started as a complaint by Hrithik against an alleged imposter has turned into an ugly public and legal battle between the two stars, with both coming up with allegations and counter-allegations against each other every other day.
