Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrated this year's Karva Chauth without her husband Abhishek, who was busy shooting abroad.

Karva Chauth is an annual one-day festival celebrated by Hindu women in India, in which married women fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety and longevity of their husbands.

After completing the fast, women looking through a sieve first at the rising moon and then at their husband. The husbands then feed the wife and the fast is broken.
