The Beatles are back... almost for 'Let it be'

In London's Gielgud theatre echoes the sound of a familiar tune

John, Paul, George, Ringo, the 'Fab Four' are back.

The auditions for Beatle-inspried muscial 'Let it be' are underway, and more than a hundred musicians have flocked to London to try their luck.

The show will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of the band's first single, 'Love Me Do'.

Selection is tough, however, and only a dozen applicants will be picked by the judges.

The jury is made up of musical specialists. They claim to be looking for musicians true to the band's legacy, rather than just look-alikes.

Auditions were also held in the band's hometown of Liverpool, where the Beatles formed in 1962.

Eight successful years and 13 studio albums later, the Fabs went their separate ways.

However for the ten lucky young musicians who get to play them, this is just the beginning.
