Surprisingly, and much to the delight of their thousands of fans, Katy Perry and Usher will both perform live at Meydan Racecource, Dubai on December 8.

Organised by Done Events, the singing duo will perform at the closing ceremony of the World Parachuting Championships.

Tickets will not be cheap, starting at Dhs450, and will go on sale at noon October 30 at the championship’s official website.

The main event will be preceded by an awards ceremony and a victory parade, before a high-energy spectacular performance from Grammy award-winning international superstar Usher.

His return concert promises to be just as exciting as last year’s and is expected to feature all the major hits from his 17-year career and from current album, ‘Looking 4 Myself’.

Meanwhile, this will the first Dubai concert for the global platinum-selling superstar Katy Perry, who is bound to croon all her big hits, including “Hot n Cold’, ‘Teenage Dream’, ‘Firework’ and more.

Earlier this month, there was speculation that Rihanna was billed to perform at Meydan next year, but it seems best friend Parry bagged that honour.
