A mini break after months of tiring work schedule can do a world of good to anyone.

But "married" Vidya Balan was not ready for the storm her vacation racked up.

The Bollywood actress had not taken a break ever since she married to Siddharth Roy Kapur. So, she decided to treat herself to this much deserved holiday from work.

Professional as Vidya is, her vacation plan triggered pregnancy rumours.

Her decision to opt out of Sujoy Ghosh's next thriller 'Durga Rani Singh' surprised everyone and confirmed their doubts that Vidya is soon to embrace motherhood.

Well, that was a false alarm.

“It's NOT true. I'm not pregnant!!" says Vidya.

Vidya called up Sujoy and recommended Kangana Ranaut to him as she loved her performance in 'Queen' but the actress gave her nod to Mohit Suri's love triangle 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani'.

The actress had a long chat with the Vishesh Film's head honcho Mahesh Bhatt and informed her wish to work in the film.

With the pregnancy rumours squashed, Vidya will continue with her break with a trip to Sydney for a film festival, before moving on to Delhi to accept the Padma Shri award.

She will be back in Mumbai on April 3 and will meet Mahesh Bhatt to discuss the details of the film.

However, Vidya might not join work immediately.

Portions of 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani' will be filmed in the Middle-East and one cannot shoot there throughout the year.

Also, co-star Emraan Hashmi's son Ayan is still undergoing treatment and the film won't start till he completes Vikram's (Bhatt) 'Mr X'. Emraan won' be shooting for more than one film at a time till June.

So Vidya's vacation might extend for a long time unless she decides to sign a film to fill in the gap.
