Just talking to media or attending press conferences to promote a film before its release is passé for Bollywood brigade.
Stars and directors pull all strings and weird tricks to promote their films.
From organising a flash mob, to riding an auto-rickshaw or donned a fake baby bump to promote film at railway station actors in India have done it all.
Now the 'Tamasha' actors Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have also jumped in the train - quite literally.
Ranbir, Deepika and director Imtiaz Ali are taking a train journey from Mumbai to Delhi to promote their movie.
The duo was originally supposed to travel by flight but in a recent conversation, however, Deepika expressed her wish to travel by train as she had not done so in a very long time.
When Ranbir learnt about this wish of his co-star, he immediately got on to make the required arrangements. The flight tickets to Delhi were canceled and the team booked for an overnight train travel instead.
They left from Mumbai yesterday (November 22) afternoon and seemed to be having a good time during their journey.
They spent the overnight journey chatting, joking, drinking tea at a station and also meeting the catering team in the train pantry.
The hit pair reunites in Imtiaz Ali's 'Tamasha' after 2013 hit 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'.
'Tamasha' to release in the UAe on Nov 26.
Gone are the days when promotion was restricted to television appearances and press conferences, the focus now is to create hype and grab eyeballs to facilitate maximum ticket sales in the opening weekend.
