Why isn’t the premier movie family from Bollywood of the Bachchans promoting the Aishwarya starrer film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ as yet?

The film already has its share of issues about promotions with Pakistani actor Fawad Khan who is paired opposite Anushka Sharma in the film unable to promote it now because of cross border issues between India and Pakistan.

It does seem that the bold content in the film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ hasn’t gone down well with the Bachchans akin to what it happened with ‘Dhoom 2’ as well when the heroine Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was paired opposite Hrithik Roshan in the YRF produced film. Aishwarya had some liplocking scenes with Hrithik and that wasn’t what the Bachchans expected from the movie. Abhishek Bachchan too was a part of the film and his role too was not spectacular in the movie leading to his mother Jaya Bachchan and Aishwarya’s mother in law passing some not so charitable remarks to the director Sanjay Gadhvi.

It did seem like rumours earlier, but now with no promotional activity appearing from the social media handles of the super active Amitabh Bachchan, it does seem that the Bachchans have clammed up about this film as well.

We are told that it was indeed Aishwarya who had asked the bold quotient to be upped in the film directed by Karan Johar. Karan was apprehensive because of the Bachchan family, but then he decided to increase the intimate scenes between Ranbir and Ash to give the characters a lot more authenticity.

Karan has already worked with the other three Bachchans – Amitabh and Jaya in ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ and Abhishek and Amitabh in ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’ and he shares a fabulous rapport with that family. Bachchan was recently seen on the Karan Johar judged TV show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’, but both of them refrained from commenting about that film on the show.

‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ is slated to release at the end of this month, provided issues between the producers and the right wing politicians are solved regarding including Pakistani artistes in Bollywood films.
